We are looking for a Premises Manager/Caretaker to work across two small schools.
Ideally you will have some handyman experience or can demonstrate a keen interest and ability to carry out such tasks, with an awareness of Premises Management or ability to manage the Premises Management with relevant training. We are looking to appoint a reliable, friendly, enthusiastic, organized, efficient, self-starter to join our school teams, who is able to communicate with a wide range of people.
Job requirements include routine maintenance tasks around the school buildings and grounds. The undertaking of weekly water monitoring and checks on fire alarm etc, Swimming Pool (summer months – Chilworth C of E Infant School only) maintenance. The role also includes responsibility for Premises Management including ensuring that the premises statutory inspections are completed on time, seeking quotes from external suppliers / trades for some building projects or emergency maintenance, ensuring works completed to required standard and reporting back to the School Business Manager or Governors when required. Physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks, i.e. lifting, climbing, may require working at height and moving of items. Any required training will be provided. Appointment subject to references and enhanced DBS clearance.

Pro-rated to 20 hours: £20,304 to £21,762 plus local authority pension scheme

Work pattern: to be negotiated, some hours during school hours preferred
