What skills and experience we're looking for

We are currently seeking a proactive and skilled Premises Manager to ensure our facilities are well-maintained and secure for our students and staff and lead our site team during an initial period of transition. As a Premises Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the functionality and aesthetic charm of our school premises, ensuring that our grounds and buildings are safe, welcoming, and conducive to learning.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in security, facilities, site or maintenance role.
  • Solid knowledge of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to maintain and oversee facilities management plans.
  • Experience of managing or supervising a small team.
  • Excellent record-keeping skills and administrative proficiency.
  • Basic DIY abilities and knowledge of building services.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate effectively to students and staff.
  • A proactive and flexible 'can do' attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the school premises are secure and well-maintained, including supervising security systems and contractors.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive buildings maintenance programme.
  • Be familiar with the DfE Good Estate Management in School
  • Liaise with the Business Manager and external contractors for maintenance and development projects.
  • Oversee the health and safety measures on site, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Support the site team in managing daily operations and ensuring a clean, safe environment for all.

Cirencester Kingshill School, opened in 1976, as a purpose built 11-16 co-educational comprehensive. It is situated on the south east side of Cirencester approximately one mile from the centre, on a spacious site bordering open countryside. The school became an Academy in August 2011.
