Premises Manager job summary

We have any exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Premises Manager, to work across our DSAT schools within our Thrive Hub. The successful candidate will be a person of integrity with the ability to maintain confidentiality and remain impartial whilst being sympathetic to others, with a willingness for personal development and flexible working. The job will be based at Southbroom St James Academy and The Trinity CE Primary Academy.

Main Responsibilities:

To carry out a range of duties to contribute to the security, safety, and maintenance of school premises, under the general supervision of the Thrive Hub Business Manager.

To ensure the schools’ buildings and furnishings are safe, secure, and maintained to standards defined by the school and Health and Safety legislation, determined by the Senior Leadership Teams of the schools / Trust.

To plan, organise and inspect all works relating to the general site management ensuring that the schools’ accommodation is fit for purpose.

To ensure the school's buildings are compliant with H&S regulations and to book and manage inspections and repairs when necessary.

Site Security including being a key holder, arranging checks, identifying and reporting site issues and taking site deliveries.

To use all cleaning materials and equipment.

Cleaning equipment and chemicals will be used on a regular basis.

To lock the school after lettings.

To work without direct supervision due to the times of work and/or nature of the duties.
