What skills and experience we're looking for

Oathall Community college is seeking to appoint a part-time premises officer to join our busy premises team looking after the facilities in our large and diverse campus. Reporting to the premises manager, the successful candidate will work as part of a team to ensure that the college facilities are well-maintained, well-presented, safe, and secure.

Previous experience of working in a practical premises or building related role is preferred but we would consider applications from candidates with a ‘can do’, solution focussed approach to work, and a willingness to learn and gain experience on the job. As you will be working in a school setting you will need to have good interpersonal and customer service skills.

Applicants should be aware that the role involves regular physical effort and exposure to environmental demands.

What the school offers its staff

Other benefits include 15 days holiday and participation in the generous local government pension scheme (19.7% employer contribution), free use of the school gym. Access to WSCC employee benefits.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

Candidates are welcome to visit the college for a tour of the site before applying. If you wish to visit the college, please call Mrs Sara Atkin on 01444 883202 to arrange an appointment.

Applications should be completed via the website using the non-teaching application form along with our recruitment monitoring form and a short letter of application (no more than one side of A4). Please email the documents to jobs@oathall.org or post to Mrs Sara Atkin.

The closing date for this post is 9am on 10 June 2026.

Suitable candidates may be invited to interview prior to the closing date and we reserve the right to close the vacancy early should sufficient applications be received.
