What we’re looking for

We are recruiting for committed and driven Primary Class Teachers to join our fantastic, non-selective school with pupils coming from a wide range of social backgrounds, cultures and abilities.

To carry out teachers professional standards and to have responsibility for an assigned class.

To be responsible for the day-to-day work and management of the class and the safety and welfare of the pupils, during on-site and off-site activities.

To promote the aims and objectives of the school and maintain its philosophy of education.

Shortstown Primary opened in September 2013 and boosts fantastic new, state-of-the-art facilities. Through the benefit of its excellent Pre-school provision it is able to take children from the age of 2 through to 11 years.

Shortstown Primary is an inclusive school which has a positive impact on children’s learning and achievement through high expectations in a creative and motivating environment. The school believes that every child truly does matter and as a result has an unrelenting focus on raising standards in all aspects of school life so that each student can develop their talents and be the best they can be.

Shortstown was rated as a Good school following an Ofsted visit in 2013; its Pre-school received an Outstanding grading. Curriculum is planned around creative activities which promote learning, personal growth and development.
