We are seeking an inspiring teacher to join our dedicated and supportive team here at The Desmond Anderson Primary Academy. We are looking for an enthusiastic teacher to deliver high quality teaching to upper KS2 pupils, to nurture, inspire and motivate our children.

We are looking for a teacher who can nurture, inspire and motivate our children. You will have a sound understanding of the breadth of content covered across primary subjects combined with effective teaching, organisational and communication skills.

We require someone who:

  • is capable of working with children in an enthusiastic and positive manner
  • maintains high standards of learning and pupil progress
  • is punctual and reliable
  • has the desire to encourage every child to succeed

The Academy is also looking to offer Teaching and Learning Responsibilities (TLR2a) as a Phase Leader for KS2 for the right candidate.

The main aim of this additional responsibility is:

  • To model outstanding classroom practice
  • To be responsible for the operational day-to-day running of KS2 (including key events) and ensure compliance to policy within the Key Stage
  • To be the first point of contact for queries in relation to KS2

Desmond Anderson Primary Academy

At Desmond Anderson Primary Academy, we believe that every child deserves the best possible education. After all, an outstanding education leads to a lifetime of opportunity.

The academy is a dynamic, happy academy where our children ‘bubble with enthusiasm’ to learn. We cater for Reception to Year 6 children. It is an expanding school, which now has a published admissions number of 60 and will have a total capacity of 420 pupils. The academy also has a special facility for up to 20 pupils with autism and a nursery for children aged from 2 years.
