Primary Classroom Teacher job summary

Mowbray Special School is based over 2 sites. The main school is situated in Bedale and caters for children aged 3 to 16. The Satellite School is in Ripon and provides an education for children aged 3 to 11, this was opened to pupils in January 2020. We currently have over 294 pupils on role across both sites, 53 at Ripon, and are the largest special school in North Yorkshire. The school is exciting, busy, high achieving, enjoyable and challenging. Our staff are our greatest asset, the successful candidate will join a very supportive, talented, hard-working and dedicated team. We expect our staff to enjoy their work and fully utilise our facilities, the local environment and resources to enhance pupil’s learning. Have a look at our school website which provides detailed information about the school http://www.mowbrayschool.co.uk We are seeking to recruit a classroom teacher to teach in our Primary department. This position may be based at our Ripon or Bedale site. The successful candidate should have considerable expertise in SEND, experience of working with children with difficulties in communication and interaction and be an excellent primacy practitioner. It is essential that you have a desire to work with SEND pupils. A specialism in music or computing is desirable but not essential for this post. Mowbray school is committed to safeguarding children and promoting the welfare of the children and young people and adults. As such this post is subject to an enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
