Unity Academy Blackpool
We are an all-through 2-16 sponsored Academy, which opened as a new Academy in September 2013 building on the work of the predecessor school, Unity College. The Academy’s sponsor is FCAT, the Fylde Coast Academy Trust. Furthermore, the Academy is also part of the Fylde Coast Teaching School Alliance which delivers high quality courses on teaching and leadership as well as the opportunity for colleagues to network and share good practice to improve opportunities for young people across the region.
Most recently, we have undergone a huge investment into our school facilities, resulting in the provision of brand new, purpose built facilities for all primary year groups and the complete transformation of our secondary provision, resulting in giving us outstanding teaching and learning facilities across the whole school. Unity Academy was judged to be ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted in October 2017 following significant work to raise standards across the school, we are now firmly on our journey to providing outstanding education for our young people.
