Primary Learning Support Assistant job summary
We are looking for a passionate, talented, collegiate practitioner to join our dedicated primary team at King’s Academy Oakwood. The successful candidate will be part of a team of Learning Support Assistants led by our Head of Primary and Deputy Heads.
Our new Learning Support Assistant will support students within the classroom, work with small groups and offer 1:1 support when needed. Experience of working with students with Speech and Language difficulties, specific learning difficulties and ASD would be a distinct advantage. They will share the academy's vision and the belief that all young people can achieve. Other necessary qualities include confidentiality, efficiency and being able to work on your own initiative and under pressure. There is an expectation of a willingness to contribute to the wider life of King’s Academy Binfield (KAB) and King’s Academy Oakwood (KAO).
We opened our doors, in superb new buildings, to secondary students in September 2018 and to primary in 2019. We have grown year on year, with the schools now operating from nursery to Year 13.
The post is for 35.42 hours per week (term time only plus 2 days). Hours of work will be 8.15am - 3.50pm, Monday to Friday.
