What skills and experience we're looking for
To support this exciting development, we are seeking two enthusiastic and committed Primary SEN Class Teachers to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the continued development of our primary provision and to contribute to a supportive and nurturing learning environment for our pupils.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning, social and emotional needs of pupils.
- Create a structured, safe and nurturing classroom environment that supports positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress, contributing to individual support plans and EHCP targets where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists and other professionals to provide a consistent and supportive approach for pupils.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to support pupils’ development and wellbeing.
Key Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience of, or strong interest in, working with pupils with SEMH needs and/or additional learning needs.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils.
- Resilient, patient and adaptable, with a commitment to inclusive education.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the wider life of the school.
