Be Part of Something Bigger

Are you passionate about transforming the lives of children with SEND? Do you thrive in a role where you can make a genuine, lasting impact? This is an exciting opportunity for an inspirational and committed Primary SENCO to join Oasis Academy Broadoak; a warm, ambitious, and community‑focused school where inclusion sits at the heart of everything we do.

We are seeking someone who shares our belief that every child deserves the highest quality of education and support. This part‑time maternity cover (3 days per week) is a chance to take a leading role in shaping exceptional practice and driving forward our inclusive culture.

About the Role

As SENCO, you will lead and manage all aspects of SEND across the school, driving high-quality inclusive practice and ensuring every child receives the support they need to thrive. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to analyse data, plan and evaluate interventions, and oversee the day‑to‑day operation of SEND policy and provision.

A key part of your role will involve supporting and upskilling staff, modelling effective inclusive strategies, and contributing to ongoing evaluation and improvement of SEND provision. You will be central in building strong partnerships with pupils, families, staff, and external professionals; ensuring SEND support is collaborative, transparent, and impactful.

What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who is not only experienced but passionate, an advocate for children with additional needs, a supportive colleague, and a solution‑focused practitioner. You will bring:

  • QTS and SENCO Qualification
  • Experience leading or coordinating SEND provision
  • Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice & safeguarding
  • Confidence in using data to inform decisions and shape interventions
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and support colleagues
  • A commitment to delivering the very best outcomes for children with SEND

Why Join Oasis Academy Broadoak?

When you join Oasis Academy Broadoak, you become part of the wider Oasis Community Learning family, an organisation united by a strong commitment to inclusion, personal growth, and exceptional education. You’ll be welcomed into a supportive, collaborative, and values‑driven team where SEND and inclusive practice are championed at every level. We offer access to high‑quality professional development across a national network, all within a vibrant, community‑centred environment where children are at the heart of every decision. This is a genuine opportunity to shape, influence, and elevate SEND provision for the future. If you are driven by purpose, inspired by inclusion, and passionate about helping every child flourish, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Interviews week commencing 23rd March.
