school? This post carries responsibility for developing English across our thriving junior
school, building on work and successes already achieved. This is an excellent opportunity
for the successful candidate to develop their leadership skills within a fantastic and

The successful applicants will:
- Be an excellent teacher, able to communicate a passion for teaching and learning.

- Be confident and effective in the use of assessment to promote and accelerate pupil

As a class teacher with leadership responsibility for English, you will:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning to your own class, with a commitment to
- raising standards for all learners.
- Lead the strategic development of English across the school, ensuring a consistent
- and ambitious approach from years 3-6
- Work closely with senior leaders to monitor and evaluate teaching, learning and
- progress in English
- Support and coach colleagues in the effective teaching of English including delivery
- of whole-school CPD.
- Inspire a love of reading and writing in pupils, helping them to become confident
- communicators and enthusiastic readers.
- Be proactive in driving improvement, using data, pupil voice and current research to
- inform practice.
- Work with other English leads in our trust to share and develop best practice.
