What skills and experience we're looking for

About You:

The Wroughton Academies are seeking a qualified and passionate Primary Teacher with experience across all key stages, demonstrating a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and recent educational developments. Skilled in phonics programmes such as Read Write Inc., you use imaginative teaching strategies and assessment for learning to inspire high expectations and ensure all pupils make progress. You create a safe, purposeful learning environment, confidently manage behaviour, and respond effectively to challenges. With excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, you build strong relationships with children, colleagues, and parents, and use technology to enrich teaching and learning. Driven by a commitment to making a positive difference, you bring resilience, empathy, and motivation to everything you do.

Our Ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Ability to monitor pupils’ responses to learning and relate well to children and adults
  • Efficiency in in managing classes and behaviour.
  • Experience of working across EYFS, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2

Our History:
Wroughton Infant Academy and Wroughton Junior Academy are welcoming and ambitious schools in Gorleston-on-Sea, Great Yarmouth. Since December 2016 Wroughton Academies have been part of the Creative Education Trust. This has enabled the schools to rigorously pursue rapid improvement for the children they teach and a brand new link building was opened in 2019 to ensure that the two schools are as closely connected as possible.
