Primary Teacher (with QTS) job summary

The Southfield Trust would like to appoint committed and inspirational classroom teacher with primary experience to work initially in Early Years/Key Stage 1. The Southfield Trust delivers high quality for pupils with a range of significant complex needs including autism and medical needs. This post is fixed term for one year from September 2022. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: • consistently good, but ideally outstanding, practice • a high level of skills, knowledge and experience of teaching pupils with a wide range of complex learning needs • commitment to continued professional development • a collaborative approach • the ability to contribute towards supporting the wider work of the school and Trust • energy, resilience and a positive outlook

The Southfield Multi Academy Trust consists of four exceptional special schools which provide the best possible educational opportunities for all its learners and their families.

The South Downs and The Lindfield schools joined the Trust at its establishment in April of 2016 having worked closely together for a number of years. Hazel Court School was warmly welcomed into the Trust in September of 2018.

The Trust opened a new Free School: Summerdown School, in Eastbourne, in September 2022. The Trust now works across four schools and six sites in Eastbourne.
