Principal job summary
SS Mary and John’s is a much loved, oversubscribed academy in the heart of a supportive and diverse community. We are seeking a strong Catholic leader who will nurture our wonderful school community and ensure all children and adults flourish, and all have access to inspiring opportunities, fulfilling their many gifts and talents.
SS Mary and John’s were evaluated as Good by Ofsted colleagues in April 2024 and received a CSI inspection in July 2024; where the community received a Good overall, with Catholic Life and Mission being Outstanding.
Our mission is:
“Striving for excellence as disciples of Jesus, learning from St Mary and St John.”
As a Catholic Academy, proud to be part of the St Francis & St Clare Multi Academy Company, we believe it is our vocational duty to develop the whole person, in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ, and to be uncompromisingly ambitious for all in our school.
St Francis & St Clare Catholic MAC are excited to be working with colleagues to fulfil the Archdiocese of Birmingham’s vision to establish St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Trust that will flourish through the alignment of the efforts, resources, skills and knowledge of 6 multi-academy companies (MACs) and 7 voluntarily aided schools.
By working together, we will create a seamless, authentic and strong Catholic educational experience that ensures all children achieve their God-given potential. The aim is for the organisation to open on 1st September, 2025.
