Principal job summary

Cardinal Wiseman Catholic School, part of the Romero Catholic Multi Academy Company and under the Archdiocese of Birmingham, is seeking a visionary and committed Principal to lead the school into its next phase of development. With over 1,200 students, including a thriving post-16 provision, the school has undergone rapid improvement and aims to be a beacon of excellence in Catholic education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the school with a Christ-centred, servant leadership approach.
• Drive strategic development and continuous school improvement.
• Strengthen the Catholic ethos and support the Church’s mission in education.
• Ensure high-quality education and enrichment for all students, especially the most vulnerable.
• Foster strong relationships with parents, partner schools, and the wider community.
• Promote wellbeing, resilience, and professional growth among staff and students.

Candidate Profile:

• A practising Catholic with a deep commitment to Catholic education.
• Proven track record of successful whole-school leadership and improved student outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills and a robust approach to system leadership.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Passionate about inclusive education and community engagement.
