Principal job summary
Lead with purpose. Shape what comes next.
Oasis Academy Immingham stands at an important moment in its story. Serving a proud coastal community with deep roots and genuine ambition, the academy plays a vital role in shaping opportunity for young people and strengthening confidence in what education can achieve.
We are seeking a Principal who brings clarity, determination and moral purpose; someone ready to lead with conviction, work collaboratively and secure sustained improvement. This is an opportunity to raise aspiration and embed a culture where students and staff can thrive together.
Oasis Academy Immingham is firmly rooted in its local context. We understand that schools do not exist in isolation and that our strongest work happens when we are closely connected to families, partners and the wider community. Our students deserve an education that opens doors, builds character and equips them with the knowledge, skills and confidence to succeed beyond the academy.
As part of Oasis Community Learning, the academy benefits from belonging to a values driven organisation committed to inclusion, equality and social transformation. Oasis is more than a trust; it is a charity with community hubs, youth provision and local services that place people, wellbeing and opportunity at the heart of everything we do.
This role would suit an experienced Principal ready to lead the next stage of an academy’s development, or a senior leader with a proven track record who is prepared to step into headship within a supportive trust.
You will bring clarity of purpose, the confidence to make difficult decisions and the ability to unite others behind a shared vision. You will believe in the potential of every young person and be uncompromising in your commitment to ensuring that circumstance never defines opportunity. Ultimately, you will be a leader who builds trust, sets direction and leaves a lasting impact on students, staff and the wider community.
Your Leadership Contribution
As Principal, you will provide visible and consistent leadership, setting the tone for academic excellence, strong relationships and a calm, purposeful culture. You will lead the academy into its next phase of development, ensuring that improvement is both ambitious and sustainable.
Your role will bring together strategic oversight and a strong day to day presence. You will shape a clear and compelling vision for the academy, champion high quality teaching and learning, and create an environment in which staff feel supported, challenged and valued.
Working closely with Oasis colleagues, including your Regional Director you will drive improvement, strengthen outcomes and embed the Oasis Curriculum in a way that reflects the identity, needs and aspirations of the Immingham community. Building strong partnerships with the local authority and external stakeholders will be central to securing long term success.
A Trust That Stands Behind Its Leaders
We recognise that leading an academy in an area of socio economic challenge requires courage, persistence and long term commitment. At Oasis, our Principals are never expected to lead alone. You will be supported by an experienced regional and national network, benefiting from professional challenge, practical guidance and access to trust wide expertise in curriculum, inclusion, safeguarding and school improvement. Alongside this support, you will have the autonomy to shape your academy’s direction, backed by a values driven organisation that stands firmly behind its leaders.
Next steps
To truly understand Oasis Academy Immingham, we warmly encourage you to visit. Meeting students, speaking with staff and experiencing the academy first hand is the best way to appreciate the opportunity this role presents. For an informal conversation or to arrange a visit, please contact the academy to schedule a confidential discussion with the Regional Director.
This is a role for a leader who wants to make a lasting difference, not just to a school, but to a community.
