Principal's Personal Assistant job summary

Due to the expansion of Wren Academies Trust, an exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of a welcoming, talented and highly motivated team at Wren Academy Enfield. To provide highly professional PA support to the Principal and the Wren Academy Enfield leadership team. To act as an ambassador for the Academy in all matters.

The duties include

  • To undertake any work as required by the Principal relating to Wren Academy Enfield. The tasks listed below are not an exclusive list, as the role will develop and change as the Trust and Academy grows
  • Provide PA support to the Principal (includes ALT minutes, staff bulletin, admissions, exclusions and other typing, filing and communication with colleagues and others)
  • To organise and maintain the Principal’s diary
  • To carry out research tasks for the Principal
  • To undertake Governors’ liaison and correspondence, ensuring the smooth running of committees
  • To take minutes at Enfield Local Governing Body meetings and Committee meetings (these are evening meetings - minimum of three times per term)
  • To liaise with the Clerk to the Board of Directors through preparing reports and other documents for Board Meetings.
  • Admissions - to lead on the administration of secondary phase admissions including:

    -Parental enquiries

    -Compilation of reports for internal and external use

    -Preparing all documentation for the Governors approval

    -Working closely with Enfield Local Authority in implementing the coordination of admissions

    -To ensure the Academy website always has the most current admissions information

    -To represent the Academy at all parental appeals including the preparation of all documentation

    -Management of the Enfield waiting list and manage all in-year admissions

    To maintain Wren Academy Enfield’s calendar

    To co-ordinate the School Development Plan (Enfield)

    To collate and manage learning walk data and prepare reports as necessary

    To co-ordinate and organise Activities Week

    To be the lead administrator dealing with preparation of the Academy prospectus, ensuring preparations are made in good time and deadlines are met

    To organise and attend the Academy Open Evening

    To liaise with outside agencies as necessary in the production of Academy and Trust publications

    To provide reports on any and all of the above to the Academy Leadership Team (ALT), as necessary

    Along with other Student Services staff, to carry out tasks (e.g. playground duties, tutorial support and enrichment) which help build relationships between all staff and students

    To carry out similar and additional duties when required by the Principal
