What skills and experience we're looking for

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience in procurement, contract management or similar roles
  • Is highly organised with strong analytical and negotiation skills
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail and communication skills
  • Is confident working independently and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
  • Holds or is willing to gain a relevant procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS)
  • Has knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks and regulations (desirable)

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will:

  • Lead procurement projects and develop the Trust’s procurement strategy
  • Drive cost-efficiencies across all non-pay expenditure
  • Manage supplier performance, tender processes, and contract negotiations
  • Provide expert guidance on procurement best practices and compliance
  • Maintain an accurate register of contracts and manage key supplier relationships
  • Identify and secure additional funding opportunities through successful bid writing

You’ll play a pivotal role in helping the Trust maximise value for money, ensure compliance with procurement regulations, and support long-term financial sustainability.
