Procurement & Contracts Manager job summary
Cambrian Learning Trust have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement and Contracts Manager to develop and lead our Trust wide procurement programme.
This is a new role, and a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to build key stakeholder relationships, drive efficiencies and ensure optimisation across the Trust.
We are seeking candidates with a commitment and belief in delivering compliant, value for money contracts, that meet our legislative responsibilities and ultimately support our schools to nurture the growth of our pupils. Ensuring a consistently high-quality service from our suppliers, with a focus on efficiency and sustainability, will be integral to the success of this position.
This role will be busy and varied with the successful candidate working across all central team departments and collaboratively with our schools. Duties will include scoping and managing tenders, evaluating bids, and contract management across a wide range of operations, goods and services. Experience of effective contract delivery through KPIs and strong relationship management is essential.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate proficiency in financial and procurement governance. Knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and the Academy Trust Handbook is desirable.
Note that all of our current schools are within a circa 40-minute drive of each other [Faringdon, Wantage, Abingdon] and there will be a requirement for the post holder to travel between sites.
