Progress Leader for English (Key Stage 3) job summary

Required from September 2021 or January 2022

The Joseph Whitaker School is a popular, oversubscribed school of 1300 students with attainment levels above the national average at both GCSE and post 16. We were inspected in March 2019 and the school was again judged as being “good”. It is worth reading the Ofsted letter as this gives a true flavour of our school.

The Governors are seeking to appoint an experienced, dynamic and well-qualified English teacher to the position of Faculty Progress Leader for Key Stage 3. They will hold a key leadership position within the Faculty and will contribute significantly to making it outstanding, working closely with the Faculty Leader and the Key Stage 4 Faculty Progress Leader.

The successful candidate will have to meet the requirements of the person specification in order to be offered the post and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion.

Please send completed application forms to recruitment@emet.uk.com
