Required for 1st September 2025

Term Time Only plus 2 weeks (41 weeks)

Monday - Thursday 8am to 4 pm and Friday 8am to 3.30 pm (37 hours per week)

Pay rate: NJC Range 5A Point 22-Point 25 (£29,263.01 - £31,575.98) FTE

Great Marlow School is a successful, highly regarded, and popular school. We are looking for a dedicated member of staff to support students with Alternative Provision and address Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance (EBSNA). Although the position would ideally be full time – the school will consider requests for part time employment. This is an excellent opportunity to support students with some of the most complex needs, work collaboratively with students, families, fellow professionals and outside agencies.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting students with EBSNA by working closely with the pastoral, SEN and attendance teams and alternative providers to develop and implement clear transition plans that facilitate a smooth integration between home and school environments. This role will involve a combination of on-site and home-based support to meet the diverse needs of our students. The successful applicant will need to drive and have use of own transport. The successful candidate may need to attend meetings outside of normal working hours.

Great Marlow School is a large co-educational secondary school located in the town of Marlow, Buckinghamshire. The school has around 1,450 students aged 11-19, with over 200 attending the sixth form.

Founded in 1961, the school converted to academy status in 2011 and in the last six years has invested £9 million in developing the school facilities including a state of the art sports centre, sixth form centre and performing arts accommodation. The Redgrave Sports Centre was named after former pupil and Olympic rower Sir Steve Redgrave, he opened in the centre in May 2013.
