Working pattern

Full time: 36.66 hours per week available (willingness to work across academies is essential) 39 weeks per year (Term Time plus 5 days)

Grade 7, SCP 28-32   £39,152 - £42,839 (pro rata to weeks worked)

What skills and experience we're looking for

We welcome applications from excellent practitioners who have: 

  • Relevant safeguarding, child and family support qualifications or experience

  • A passion and commitment to working directly with children and their families to improve outcomes

  • Experience of working with vulnerable families, including those with SEND to engage them with school and promote high levels of attendance

  • Knowledge and understanding of pupils and families who may need additional support and guidance, and a desire to support these pupils to thrive

  • Understanding of the barriers to learning that children and families may face and effective strategies to support them 

  • Experience of developing resources that scaffold and support emotional wellbeing, attendance and personal development for children.

  • Experience of developing resources and strategies that engage and support families to find effective and sustainable ways to support their children and have fulfilling, safe and positive family lives.

  • Awareness of child development and knowledge of how children develop, including how ACES, trauma and situations can affect and impact upon children.

  • Communication skills to liaise sensitively and effectively with parents and carers 

  • Up to date experience as a Designated or Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead or relevant Social Care experience.
