Pupil Support Assistant – Coordinator / Triage / On Call Response job summary

We are seeking a calm, proactive and highly committed Pupil Support Assistant Coordinator to join our pastoral and behaviour team and make a real difference to pupils’ daily experience of school.

This is a rewarding front‑line role at the heart of school life, where you will provide immediate, practical and emotional support to pupils who need guidance, structure and encouragement.

Based primarily within the Expectations Room, you will play a key role in coordinating pupil support, triaging concerns, and ensuring swift, effective responses to behavioural and pastoral needs in close partnership with teaching staff and senior leaders.

The successful candidate will be someone who builds positive relationships with young people quickly, communicates confidently with staff and families, and thrives in a busy, purpose‑driven environment.

You will work closely with the Behaviour Manager, Assistant Headteacher (Behaviour) and SENDCo to remove barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour, and support pupils to re‑engage successfully with school.

In return, we offer a supportive team, strong professional development opportunities, term‑time working, and the chance to have a meaningful impact on pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour and future success every single day.
