What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a committed and dynamic individual who has a positive attitude towards supporting young people. The role will focus on the first aid and general wellbeing of pupils in school. Dealing with accidents, looking after sick pupils, assisting pastoral staff with pupils in a distressed or emotional state and liaising with parents/guardians and or staff will all be part of a typical day.
The successful candidates will be the first point of contact on a daily basis for pupils and their families, to administer medication in accordance with the school policy and to ensure it is kept safely, to liaise with families, the school nurse and other outside agencies as well as with pastoral staff in school to draw up care plans as necessary keep them up to date and distribute to the appropriate people.
