Qualified Playworker (before & after school club provision) job summary
Grade: Start Contract: Permanent, term time (38 weeks), part time
Hours of Work: Teatime Club: 3:15pm - 6:00pm. Various sessions available and there is flexibility around working hours. Applications will be considered for candidates who are unable to work every day / session.
We wish to appoint a Qualified Playworker with a recognised Level 3 qualification in childcare; we have various shifts available so can be flexible with hours offered for the right candidates.
Main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Implementing a varied, stimulating and exciting range of activities that meet the children’s developmental needs
- Ensuring the facility is ready for use, by setting up and clearing away
- Working as part of a highly motivated and professional team
- Establishing positive relationships with children and their families
- Working in close partnership with all school staff and support the whole school ethos
The ideal candidate will be able to:
- Adhere to and promote all school policies
- Safeguard children and promote health and safety
- Promote good practise in a professional and inclusive manner
- Maintain a close liaison with class teachers in order to be aware of and respond appropriately to the needs of all children in your care
- Take responsibility for personal professional development, including participation in own annual appraisal, any necessary training, and keeping abreast of all current issues relating to providing this service.
