Qualified Teacher of English to work alongside English Leadership Team (ELT) job summary
Teaching is one of the most direct ways to make an impact and if you are driven by the desire to give back, to help those around you and make an invaluable contribution, we would be interested in receiving an application from you.
You will work alongside the ELT to lead a full review of assessment provision by year group and by stage. The review will require working with colleagues across the English team to glean their feedback and views on recent curriculum improvements and the role assessment plays with this.
You will drive the development of the current assessment strategy into its next stage - consistent implementation that has positive impact for students. This will include working alongside the ELT driving the team’s approach to the setting of meaningful and quality homework.
We see this role being ideal for an individual looking at the next stage of career development and can offer access to wide ranging leadership development and support for the right candidate.
You will be a strong classroom practitioner with a genuine passion for assessment and the role assessment plays in the quality of English provision. You will be a motivated individual with a keen interest in encouraging and inspiring students to love learning.
You should be a passionate lifelong learner who is hardworking and enthusiastic with excellent subject knowledge. You will want to extend this beyond the classroom by sharing practice with colleagues and to contribute to our in-house programme of continuing professional development.
