Summary:
Do you have a passion for reading? Are you organised and resourceful? Would you like to help develop and nurture the love and passion for reading in young people?
West Walsall E-ACT academy is looking for a Reading Mentor to provide specialist support to students in respect to their reading, to promote and manage the use of library resources and to support students learning and development into confident, independent readers and learners.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
Reporting to the academy Literacy Lead, the post holder will be accountable for:
- Select appropriate resources/methods to facilitate agreed learning activities, differentiating and adapting learning programmes to suit the needs students.
- Assess, record, and report on development, progress, and attainment.
- Ensuring that the library is stocked with an up-to-date range of relevant books and resources.
- Liaising with teaching colleagues regarding their requirements and recommendations.
- Creating displays that link to what is being taught in school.
- Ensuring that internet use within the library is safe and suitable for user.
