Reception and Business Support job summary

Are you an enthusiastic, organised and welcoming individual? Do you thrive in a busy office environment and take pride in your work? If so, we’d love you to join our small, friendly team at Christ the Sower Primary School.

We are seeking a Reception and Business Support colleague to be the first point of contact for our school community. You will play a vital role in supporting our office operations, providing a warm welcome to pupils, parents, staff and visitors, and ensuring the smooth running of our reception and administrative functions. First Aid at Work training is required (or willingness to undertake training).

What you’ll do:

  • Greet visitors and manage enquiries with professionalism and care
  • Support a busy school office with a range of administrative tasks
  • Handle attendance, communications, and school events
  • Deliver first aid to pupils and staff
  • Oversee school trips as nominated Educational Visits Coordinator (EVC)

What we’re looking for:

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A friendly, approachable manner and a commitment to outstanding service
  • Previous experience in a school or busy office environment (knowledge of admissions processes is desirable)
  • First aid at Work trained (or willing to train)

The successful candidate will:

  • Be energetic, reliable and committed to high standards
  • Have experience in a similar administrative environment (school-based experience and knowledge of admissions processes is desirable)
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Enjoy working as part of a supportive team
