What skills and experience we're looking for

Early Years Class Teacher – Maternity Cover - Full time post

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified teacher to cover a maternity leave in this successful and popular primary school. The appointed teacher will teach the Reception class.

NB: This post is NOT open to ECTs.

The successful candidate should:

• Have full QTS and be able to carry out all of the key responsibilities of a class teacher.

• Be an excellent and creative classroom practitioner with high expectations and commitment to raising standards.

• Fully aware of the requirements of the Foundation Stage Curriculum
• Be dedicated to their own professional development.
• Willing to be fully involved in the wider life of the school.
• Able to work as part of a team
• Have the ability to liaise effectively with parents and other professionals.
• Applications are invited from experienced teachers and is not available to ECT teachers. Please state any curriculum interests that you could bring to the school.

The candidate will be required to undergo a full enhanced DBS check and must be eligible to work in the UK.

The contract will end on the return of the substantive post holder. Salary will be paid on Teachers’ Pay scale depending upon experience
