Reception Class Teacher job summary

This role requires a strong understanding and passion for teaching and learning, ideally with experience of teaching in an EYFS Reception class. We are looking for a teacher who understands the Development Matters Framework and is committed to maintaining the high standards we have established in our quality indoor and outdoor provision and daily teaching practice.

The successful candidate will be able to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching, ensuring that every child receives the very best learning opportunities to support their development and readiness for the next stage in their education.

At Willow Bank, our teaching approach is rooted in Rosenshine's Principles of Instruction, and we are looking for a candidate who enjoys working collaboratively with colleagues both in school and across the Trust to create a rich and stimulating learning environment. A sound knowledge of teaching phonics is desirable, and familiarity with the Little Wandle SSP programme would be advantageous.

Key Requirements:

- Strong understanding of teaching and learning principles.

- Preferably, experience of teaching in an EYFS Reception class

- A thorough knowledge of the Development Matters Framework and effective teaching strategies.

- Ability to sustain high standards in both indoor and outdoor provision.

- A commitment to quality-first teaching every day.

- Enthusiastic about working collaboratively with colleagues.

- Knowledge of phonics teaching; experience with Little Wandle SSP is desirable.
