Commitment to safeguarding

At Wilberforce, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone who comes into contact with children and their families has a role to play. In order to fulfil this responsibility effectively, all practitioners should make sure their approach is child centred. This means that they should consider, at all times, what is in the best interests of the child. If children and families are to receive the right help at the right time, everyone who comes into contact with them has a role to play in identifying concerns, sharing information and taking prompt action.

Our teachers are experts on how children learn effectively, and our curriculum is designed to get the best out of everyone.

We place our children at the heart of all we do and pride ourselves on knowing each child individually and appreciating what makes each individual unique. We are passionate that every learner at Wilberforce will be the best they can be, and all adults have nothing but the highest of expectations. We offer an enriched curriculum, in which we want our children to develop a thirst for learning that will last forever.
