Receptionist job summary

Thank you for considering St. Mary's Catholic Academy for the next stage in your career. We are seeking to appoint a committed Receptionist to support our administration team at St Mary’s. The role is offered on a full time, permanent, term time only basis and will commence in September 2026. This would be a fantastic opportunity to develop your administrative and customer service skills.

As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, students and staff, the successful candidate will play a vital role in creating a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who enters our Academy. You will be responsible for reception duties, answering telephone enquiries, supporting students, visitors and parents, maintaining records and providing administrative support to the wider school team.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment. The successful candidate will enjoy working with people, be confident using IT systems and be able to manage a variety of tasks while maintaining a positive and welcoming approach.
