Nansen Primary School is looking to appoint a receptionist to join our admin team. The school is part of Leigh Trust.
We are looking for an employee with admin experience, preferably within a school admin team.
Main requirements / responsibilities of the role:
- Reception and admin duties
- Excellent verbal and written English skills (these will be tested at interview)
- A positive attitude and effective communication skills
- The ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
- A commitment to ensuring confidentiality
- Ability to prioritise, multi task and work as part of a team
- Data entry, letter writing and filing
- Providing reception and switchboard support to the school
- Providing clerical support to the school’s administrative function
- Receiving, signing in and dealing with or directing pupils, parents and other school visitors as appropriate
- Taking telephone calls and delivering messages as appropriate
- Dealing with pupils who are late, recording on MIS and relaying information to Attendance Officer
- Receiving and sorting incoming mail for delivery to appropriate staff.
- Occasional routine word processing, as and when required
