Nansen Primary School is looking to appoint a receptionist to join our admin team. The school is part of Leigh Trust.

We are looking for an employee with admin experience, preferably within a school admin team.

Main requirements / responsibilities of the role:

  • Reception and admin duties
  • Excellent verbal and written English skills (these will be tested at interview)
  • A positive attitude and effective communication skills
  • The ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
  • A commitment to ensuring confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritise, multi task and work as part of a team
  • Data entry, letter writing and filing
  • Providing reception and switchboard support to the school
  • Providing clerical support to the school’s administrative function
  • Receiving, signing in and dealing with or directing pupils, parents and other school visitors as appropriate
  • Taking telephone calls and delivering messages as appropriate
  • Dealing with pupils who are late, recording on MIS and relaying information to Attendance Officer
  • Receiving and sorting incoming mail for delivery to appropriate staff.
  • Occasional routine word processing, as and when required
