Receptionist/ Administration Assistant job summary
Avalon School are seeking to appoint a Receptionist/Administration Assistant to join the existing office team. They will need to be motivated, organised, and reliable as well as being an excellent team player with a great sense of humour. The post holder will be involved in assisting with the day-to-day administrative duties involved in working in a busy school office.
Avalon School is a Specialist School for students aged 11-19 situated in the town of Street. Our school vision is ‘Learning for Life’ – together with our parents and the learners themselves - we aim to teach skills for the whole of life.
The successful candidate will be someone with a good range of IT skills and a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and Outlook. Experience in school MIS systems would be an advantage as would experience of working in a busy school-based office but this is not essential.
This is a very exciting time to join the Polden Bower & Avalon School Federation, in partnership with The Bridge School, Sedgemoor.
37 hours per week 39 weeks- term time plus inset days., to start as soon as possible. Grade 15 position £20,575- £20,897 depending on experience.
Working hours are: Monday 8.15am - 4.00pm, Tuesday 8.15am – 4.45pm, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 8.15am - 4.00pm
