Dear prospective candidate,
Thank you for taking the time to look at our Receptionist Administrator position at Courtlands School.
We are looking to recruit an outstanding Receptionist Administrator to join the team to support the current administration team. We are looking for people with a real passion for working in an environment with complex but rewarding children in a supportive and compassionate environment. You will complement the work of the administration team and be the face of the school responding to all visitors in an outstanding manner, whilst managing a busy reception desk alongside administrative duties
Main purpose
The Receptionist Administrator is the face of the school and as such we are looking to appoint an individual with outstanding customer service skills, unreserved flexibility and positivity.
The candidate will be responsible for supporting the administrative, financial and organisational processes within the school. They will also act as the initial point of contact for parents, visitors and other stakeholders so will be an ambassador for the school and embody the value, vision and ethos of the school in all interactions.
This role is extremely busy and demanding and requires someone who is able to constantly juggle conflicting priorities whilst maintaining a positive, polite and helpful attitude.
You will be required to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and great spelling, punctuation and grammar, alongside the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment where you will often be around our pupils.

Courtlands Special School Academy is a friendly and ambitious academy in Plymouth which caters for primary aged children (4-11) with Moderate Learning Difficulties and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Our innovative curriculum is based on meeting individual’s needs rather than schemes of work, and provides a wide range of curriculum and therapeutic input.
