What skills and experience we're looking for
Being the first point of contact at school for parents, pupils, staff and all visitors, you will be juggling the demands of a busy reception desk whilst managing a multi extension switchboard. You will offer a professional, warm and friendly welcome, both face to face and on the telephone, ensuring calls and visitors are dealt with in a timely, professional and effective manner. Other tasks include providing high quality administrative support as required, taking in deliveries and generally contributing to the smooth running of the wider school admin team.

Further information about the job
The ideal candidate will have previously worked as a Receptionist, maybe with experience of working in a school or similar setting although this is not essential. Strong oral and written communication skills are key and, as no two days are the same, being a good organiser and being able to prioritise your own workload are essential skills required for this role. It is essential that the postholder understands the need for confidentiality and sensitivity when speaking with all stakeholders on the phone and face to face, including staff, students and other professionals, and has an awareness of GDPR.
