School Administrator job summary
Are you highly organised, friendly, and ready to thrive in a fast-paced school office? We’re looking for a School Administrator to join our team at Sutton Courtenay CE Primary School, where we're on an exciting journey of improvement and growth.
This is a key role in the smooth running of our school, where no two days are the same. You’ll be the first point of contact for pupils, parents, and visitors – the warm, efficient face of our school – and a crucial part of supporting the leadership team, staff, and students.
34.5 hours per week, term time only. Core hours: Monday - Thursday 08:30 - 16:00 and 08:30 - 15:30 Friday.
About You:
- Experienced in administration (preferably in a school or busy office)
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator with a calm and approachable who can communicate well with primary age students, teachers and parents
- Able to prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a busy environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and school-based systems
- A team player with a positive, can-do attitude
In this role, you will:
- Manage front office operations, including reception duties
- Support attendance, admissions, and pupil records
- Provide administrative support to senior leaders and staff
- Handle enquiries from parents and carers with professionalism and warmth
- Help build and shape systems as part of a forward-thinking team
