What skills and experience we're looking for

An extremely well organised individual, who enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in providing great administrative support. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience in an HR setting and feel confident managing a range of tasks with care and attention.

You’ll bring strong communication and organisational skills, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage your own workload to tight deadlines. You’ll also be comfortable using Microsoft Office and handling confidential information with sensitivity and discretion.

A positive, flexible and team-focused approach is really important to us. A basic understanding of HR processes is essential, and if you have experience in education, familiarity with HR systems such as Arbor or SAM People as well as SharePoint, or are working towards a CIPD qualification, that would be a great bonus.

About the Role

We are looking for an organised and proactive HR Assistant to join our welcoming Trust central team of 15 staff, supporting our Director of HR. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing Trust where collaboration, flexibility and a people-focused approach are at the heart of what we do.

In this varied and fast-paced role, you’ll provide high-quality HR support across the entire employee journey, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll and maintaining HR systems. Your attention to detail and positive approach will help ensure everything runs smoothly, accurately and in line with safeguarding and statutory requirements.

You’ll play an important role in supporting end-to-end recruitment, from advertising vacancies to welcoming new starters, as well as coordinating staff changes and helping maintain strong safeguarding practices. Alongside this, you’ll be a key point of contact for day-to-day HR queries and have regular contact with colleagues across the Trust.
