Receptionist job summary

Term-time only + Training Days, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our school, you will help create a welcoming and warm environment for pupils, parents, staff and visitors. We are seeking someone who can build positive relationships, communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders and represent the school with professionalism at all times. This role sits at the heart of our community and we are looking for someone who will live and breathe our values in everything they do.

To be a good fit for this role, you will be:

  • A warm and approachable communicator, who is able to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
  • Highly organised, managing attendance, enquiries and daily administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Calm and professional, especially during busy periods like school drop‑off, emergencies, or safeguarding situations.
  • Reliable and discreet, maintaining confidentiality and supporting the smooth running of the school office.
