The Governors of Kelmscott School are seeking to appoint a highly enthusiastic Receptionist to join our thriving Student Services team. As the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, the ideal candidate will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming and efficient environment.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting and assisting visitors, students, and staff with professionalism and warmth.
  • Answering and directing phone calls promptly and courteously.
  • Managing the school's email and ensuring timely responses.
  • Handling enquiries and providing accurate information about the school.
  • Maintaining and updating student records and databases.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and data entry.
  • Supporting the Student Services team with various tasks as needed.
  • Organise and maintain daily detention lists in liaison with the pastoral team

Key Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • A friendly, patient, and professional demeanour.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
