Receptionist job summary

At Sidney Stringer Academy, we have a new position open for an Afternoon Receptionist to join a friendly administrative team, providing an efficient point of contact within our reception.

Job overview

You’ll be responsible for overseeing the reception facility, answering calls and dealing with face-to-face enquiries, signing in visitors and ensuring all visitors are appropriately monitored, as well as providing general clerical and administrative support and maintaining school records.

Job requirements

  • NVQ or equivalent in Customer Care or Business and Administration or a willingness to undertake relevant training
  • Ability to prioritise tasks on a day-to-day basis
  • Experience of using software packages such as Microsoft, Google and Bromcom
  • Receptionist or customer service experience
  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively with staff, students, parents and external bodies
