What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed individual to join the Yew Tree family as our Receptionist. We are a friendly three-form entry primary school with a nursery class so our office is a hive of activity at the heart of our school. We are looking for somebody to take on this role, within a supportive team of staff, to support the smooth administration and organisation of school operations.

Working alongside an excellent and highly-skilled administration team, the Receptionist will be supported in their training and development so that they grow in skills and confidence in order to emerge as a confident school administrator.

We want to meet candidates who think they have something to offer Yew Tree. We are interested in hearing from individuals with a range of talents, experiences and skills which will offer something unique to our school community. Working at Yew Tree is more than a job; It is being a part of our family – our community!

Our senior leaders are looking to build a team of people who passionately believe in our five core values (responsibility, respect, courage, ambition & pride) and our vision of ‘Learning Without Limits’ for all of our children.

What the school offers its staff

We can offer the successful candidate:

  • A supportive environment in which relationships are nurtured and valued
  • A dedicated, friendly and passionate staff

  • A commitment to high standards and continual improvement
  • Enthusiastic and caring children who are polite and well-mannered
  • Modern facilities and extensive grounds
  • A strong commitment to staff well-being including free access to a range of services through an Employee Assistance Programme
