Oasis Community Learning is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Regional Finance Assistant to support the financial operations across all academies within the region. This is a vital role that ensures accurate financial processing and contributes to the effective financial management of our educational communities.

You’ll work closely with the Regional Finance Manager and team to:
- Process purchase requisitions and invoices, ensuring compliance with budget approvals and delegation schemes
- Maintain accurate records of expenditure, income, and VAT coding across purchase and sales ledgers
- Prepare BACs payment runs and manage supplier statements and queries
- Support bank account transactions, including dinner money, trips, and payment requests
- Assist with petty cash, credit card returns, and prepayment tracking
- Post journals and recode payroll expenses to ensure proper VAT recovery
- Liaise with academy-based staff to ensure timely and accurate financial data
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Educated to GCSE level (A*-C in English and Maths) or equivalent
- Experienced in using accounting software in a finance environment
- Organised, accurate, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Honest, adaptable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Aligned with the Oasis ethos of inclusion, compassion, and community service
- A qualification or current study towards AAT or similar is desirable, as is experience in education or the public sector
