About us and the role
We are recruiting a Retreats Support Coordinator to provide essential logistical and on-site support across our retreat programme at Avanti Services Ltd.
This varied and rewarding role involves assisting with planning, coordinating activities and supporting pupil supervision across multiple locations and age groups.
You will play a key part in ensuring retreats run efficiently, safely and in line with agreed plans, contributing to a positive and well-organised experience for all participants.
Working closely with the Retreats Manager and wider team, you will help maintain high standards of organisation, safety and pupil engagement throughout.
The role is well suited to someone adaptable, reliable and confident working in busy, fast-paced environments.
Please note that we may close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, we'd encourage you to submit your application as early as possible.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing Multi Academy Trust with schools based in London, the midlands and the South West of England. All Avanti schools provide pupils with an outstanding education rooted in the inclusive and distinctive Avanti Schools ethos of educational excellence, character development, and spiritual insight.
What will you do?
- Provide on-site operational support to ensure retreats run safely, smoothly and in line with planned schedules.
- Assist with the set-up, coordination and delivery of retreat activities, including resources, logistics and transitions throughout the day.
- Support pupil supervision during travel and activities, promoting positive behaviour and escalating any safeguarding or welfare concerns.
- Contribute to staffing capacity by supporting multiple or overlapping retreats, particularly where schools have limited staff availability.
- Work collaboratively with the Retreats Manager and team while adhering to safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies.
What are we looking for?
- Experience of working with children and young people
- Good organisation and ability to manage practical tasks reliably
- Willingness to work flexibly across school sites and retreat venues
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond appropriately on trips
- Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students
