Room Leader job summary
We are looking to appoint a Room Leader to establish a new provision that will nurture and use ‘Dynamic Grouping’ for children to develop the social and emotional skills to thrive at school. The group will be a place for children to have the opportunity to grow in confidence and become engaged, successful learners in their classrooms and the school community. It will provide the opportunity for children to re-visit early learning skills and promote and support their social and emotional development. Thus, developing their maturity and resilience. Children will attend on a fluid (dynamically grouped) basis with additional adult support where appropriate. This may include children with emerging needs, SEN, behaviour and SEMH needs.
Fairfield Park Lower School is located in Central Bedfordshire on the Hertfordshire boarder with 2 sites, both sites offer nursery to year 4 and extensive WRAP care opportunities. We provide children with a rich and exciting education which is relevant to them and which develops their skills and abilities.
All children are treated as individuals. We put the children at the heart of everything we do. The environment that we provide is nurturing and caring. We ensure there are no barriers to learning.
We believe children need to be nurtured and developed as individuals to enable them to become lifelong learners and good citizens. We are a highly successful values based school built on the partnership between pupils, parents/carers, staff, governors and the local community, due to our shared vision of high expectations. We, as a school, pride ourselves in ensuring that we achieve quality in all that we do.
Our purpose is to work together to create a positive learning environment in which all pupils can realise their full potential. We encourage and support all our pupils and in return we expect high standards of work, conduct and appearance. The school is a fantastic learning environment that we continually improve and enhance.
The Room Leader post is term time only, Monday to Friday 8.30am-3.45pm. The role is paid on point 6 on the NJC scale £17,492 per annum and will initially be a fixed term term contract until the end of this academic year.
