What skills and experience we're looking for

Brymore Academy have a fantastic opportunity for a Safeguarding Officer to join the team on a permanent, basis (term time only).

The post holder will be a point of contact co-ordinating a response to safeguarding concerns, so strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and experience within the field is essential for this position.

Previous experience in an educational setting is beneficial, but someone with compassion, confidence and a founding belief in keeping children safe is paramount.

The Safeguarding Officer, in conjunction with the Designated Safeguarding Lead, will be a contact for all safeguarding concerns in the school for staff and children. They will coordinate referrals to social care, attend and contribute to relevant meetings and deliver safeguarding training to school staff, among other responsibilities.

This is a busy role, so being able to organise your own workload and having a proactive approach to work is essential.

The successful candidate will be supported and be provided ongoing training and development to assist them in their role.
