  • 20.5 hours per week (days to be worked are somewhat flexible) 
  • Term time plus one week 
  • Required for 1 September 2026 

 

We are a large school on the North Norfolk Coast. Our children are caring and inclusive and our staff are proactive and forward thinking. 

 

We are looking to employ a safeguarding / pastoral assistant to work alongside the designated safeguarding lead / HT in supporting the children and families at our school. The role will involve meeting children, families and outside agencies.  It will also include organising and running EHAP/ School Lead Plan meetings and ensuring safeguarding systems are maintained to the highest standards. Full training will be given where required. 

 

Applicants should have: 

  • A positive, calm, patient and warm manner. 
  • A child-centred approach. 
  • A passion for helping children and families of all abilities and backgrounds to reach their full potential. 
  • Confidence in working with families and outside agencies. 
  • The ability to challenge and accept challenge. 
  • Great communication skills. 
  • A strong sense of teamwork. 
  • A flexible, proactive and positive outlook. 
  • At least a relevant NVQ Level 2. 
  • Resilience and empathy. 
  • Good admin and clerical skills – proficiency in word, excel and email. 
  • Experience of working with a range of primary aged children. 
  • A sense of humour!
