What skills and experience we're looking for
Northern Education Trust, The Blyth Academy is seeking to appoint a Safeguarding and Wellbeing Officer. The main duties of the role will be to assist in the coordination of referrals, arranging action and reviewing service forstudents and families andsupport the development of safeguarding and child protection policies, training and procedures and guidance for the Academy. You will ensure there are policies, procedures, systems, structures, resources and personnel in place to promote the welfare and protection of students and support vulnerable families and actively work jointly with parents / carers and other agencies through joint planning,training and monitoring of their arrangements for the safeguarding of students

Salary Range: Grade 6, SCP 23-25, FTE salary £32,076.00 - £33,945.00, pro rata salary £28,339.15 - £29,990.41
Salary amounts quoted are from the 1 September to 31 August and therefore if you commence employment part way through the academic year they are subject to an equated salary adjustment

Please note: the post holder will be engaging in regulated activity, working mainly or wholly with children. This position is exempt from the rehabilitation of offender’s act 1974. It is an offence to apply for this role if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children.
