What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking for an experienced school administrative assistant to run our busy nursery school reception office. You will be the first point of contact at the nursery in charge of all office and receptionist duties, including answering phones, greeting visitors and helping parents with a range of questions and queries.

The ideal candidate will have excellent people skills and be able to communicate confidently and effectively, both orally and in writing. Applicants should be competent at multi-tasking, have great attention to detail, good communication skills, the ability to work with minimal supervision and prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines whilst being flexible and able to work with staff at all levels. You will be required to display professionalism, courtesy and respect at all times, whilst maintaining the highest degree of confidentiality. SIMS Knowledge is desirable and having worked in a school would be an advantage.

Ideally you will need to demonstrate excellent skills in the following packages:

Microsoft office package (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook etc.) and any other email programmes. Knowledge of the following packages is ideal but not essential as training will be given: Tapestry, Evolve and SIMS.
